Join us for an evening of food, fun and drinks. It’s easy, fast and fun. Blind Date With A Book matches you with an unknown gift wrapped book not knowing the type, genre, author, title, etc., of the selection. Then you take your book on a blind date by choosing to read it and give it a chance to make an impression.
Best part…you then get to let us know how your blind date went!
You will learn how to write an expert book review. Did you have a love connection? Did the date end early for whatever reason? Did something unexpected happen? We want to hear all about it! When you are done with your “date”, you will complete the review sheets included with your book.
Each author of the book will receive your expert written review (up to 250 words) that will be posted on Amazon and GoodReads.
"Blind date with a book is an experience like no other!"
A blind date with a book is something everyone should try at least once. Take the leap, it could end up being your favorite novel!
You must RSVP for this event. You must have an Amazon.com account and a GoodReads.com account prior to attending. Food & Drinks Provided. Limited Supplies.

International Bestselling Author JD Barker
When: Tuesday, October 24, 2017
Time: 7:00 PM
Where: Barnes and Noble 4015 Medina Rd. Akron, OH 44333
It’s easy to get lost in today’s writing world. If you want to get noticed, you can’t just make a splash, you have to make waves.
In 2014, JD Barker self-published his first novel, FORSAKEN, and through perseverance, ingenuity and creative marketing, he brought that title to the top of the bestseller lists around the world. His second novel, THE FOURTH MONKEY, sold to traditional publishers for advances in excess of $1 Million. His third novel, a prequel to Dracula, co-authored with Dacre Stoker, sold in late June 2017 at auction to Putnam. Two feature films and a network television program are in the works based on his novels.
All writers, regardless of genre, face a similar set of obstacles along the path to publication. This is an opportunity to hear from an author on the other side. Learn, ask questions, empower yourself and get your manuscript into world.
